Welcome to The Kids Need New Shoes, a blog, a sketch show, a hang out where we can all learn how to be happier, healthier, formidable individuals.

How do you look after your health as a high-achiever, a go-getter? Secondly, is it possible to learn from some wise comedic characters? Third, is there a place where we can all hang loose, which doesn’t take all this stuff too seriously? Could we catch a live show about all this, one day? Summary: Yes. You’re there / here! Welcome to The Kids Need New Shoes. Everyone appreciates a corny metaphor for a new way of thinking. And that’s what the Kids Shoes is.

What is The Kids Need New Shoes?

As we literally just said above (FFS!), the Kids Need New Shoes is a community designed for all of us who want to learn, to grow and to help ourselves look after, ourselves.

Look, my kids need new shoes, so do yours. Probably, their kids will too, unless some new way of levitating is invented. You might be looking for a new way of thinking too, most of us are nowadays. The Kids Need New shoes has been water-birthed placenta and all, as a blog, a sketch show and a platform for the modern reader. We discuss what it is to look after one’s health while struggling through life, in these, what we now know to be modern, even post-modern and challenging times.

The aim? We can all become far better high-achievers, and keep on achieving, financially, sure, but also physically and yes, emotionally.

Come and learn from the characters here and grow with them. Such characters include: Marty Threeshoe – lifestyle speaker, public guru and ultrapreneur, Kenneth Two Penneth – shopkeeper, newsagent and opinionator. The ‘Up To?’ lads – Ioan, John and Chad, always on the lookout for new opportunities and what each other are up to on any given day. All anchored by their leader and author of sorts, Nathan Webb.

Marty says, 'Think with your hands clasped in a triangle...'

High achievers... It is possible to be Successful, Happy AND Healthy - 'SHH'?

"Changing lives, one shoe at a time."™

How do we become better high-achieving, go-getting intelligentsia, AND thus therefore more productive life-crushers?

01 Healthy is happy

Truth be told...

Look numpty, your health isn’t everything but without it you have nothing. Let that sit a while, before you rinse it down in of those little sinks you get in the dentist. Watch as the bits swirl. Where do they get those sinks? A medical supplies company, probably.  Why do you go to see the dentist? Oral hygiene, a nice smile, that’s why. I once visited a dentist and unbeknownst to me, had a full sized, bright green bogie on my front tooth. I was around five years old so it didn’t matter that much. That dentist, shy, didn’t flick it away, however. No, he merely worked around that bogie. I got no sticker that day. Point is, life begins, or ends with your health and that includes brain health (and tooth health!). Use your body and your brain, if you want to play the game, as the saying went on Fun House.

02 Be a better achiever

When the going gets tough...

When our child / children is / are born, we parents can feel like a steaming train or that bus from Speed has hit us. Parenting can be tough, especially for first-time parents and high achievers trying to hustle, to juggle plates, to spin balls, plus balance on a unicycle.  In addition, parenting can impact your happiness, your health and your relationships can suffer. You can feel under the cosh from all angles. This can invariably lead to fatigue, stress and productivity. Low mood sets in. If ignored, this can lead to anxiety and even depression. But, big BUT, there are strategies YOU can put in place to better deal with all of that stuff, or this, depending where you are. What’s more, these characters and this content aims to (hopefully) help you through these times, which we all experience. As I have. I can vouch that never last forever, the times I mean, not the characters, they unfortunately do.  Remember that we CAN succeed and like Daniel Bedingfield, get through this.

03 Fun is good

Get loose, dance, do the Mobot...

Finance, productivity, wealth, cakes, coffee – all important strategies to us risk-takers and big-thinkers. Awards? Sure, always. But, why do we really make them Greens, them Dollars / Pounds / Euros… Krona? Whatever your currency. Do we do all this to live lavishly and drive a nice sports car, or to be all cooped up and have no time to drive that two seater anywhere? The truth? I’d say both. Balance. New Balance (a good running shoe and also a good mantra for life). Question: If you don’t find fun in everything you’re doing, whether work, relationships, hobbies, coffee. Then why do it? I’d say is vitally important you kick off the brogues now and then, replacing with a trainer (a sneaker), a hiking boot or a flip-flop (a thong) occasionally. In summary, We’ll can all discover new ways of doing things, and that’s what this community is all about. If you made it this far, you’re committed, well done, let’s dive in. Or at least have a little splash shall we? Hit the Blog button below or here.
